An initiative to help the homeless.

As the pandemic continues to batter the city and there is no sign of relief to the homeless and destitute, post lock down. Food For All Chennai along with two other NGO’s (Helping hand is Humanity team & Path of Love Trust) has joined together to help the poor destitute and homeless individuals who spend their days and night under sky without shelter and food.

DHANAM’s responsibility is to take up the social cause and help the homeless people with basic needs. Though we cannot provide them with shelter because most of these persons are shelter less and sleep in different places in the city, so we thought we could at least help them with food and basic provisions

As suggested by Helping hand is humanity Team & Path Of Love Trust FFAC decided to give the basic provisions to the destitute of Thiruvottriyur who lived under the roofs of North railway stations. We distributed items like rice, wheat, dal, sanitary napkins, bed sheet, torch to the 30 North Indian families whose sole income is through making and selling toys. These habitants who have no source for income find hard to have time a meal a day amidst the corona crisis. Enhancing their life Humanity trust and helping hand has supported us for the noble cause. We are thankful to all the volunteers and sponsors for their interest and care towards us. Dhanam will be continued as a pro-longed project for other noble cause of Food For All Chennai in making the life of destitute better.
